Choosing a MaxiPro jaw means matching three things: the fitting system, the tube outside diameter and the exact press-tool model. This guide covers Rothenberger compact >B< MaxiPro jaws for the UK ACR range, including articles 1000001749–1000001756 and jaw set 1000001989.
What do MaxiPro jaws do?
The jaw closes around the matching >B< MaxiPro fitting and is driven by the press tool to form the joint. The jaw profile and size must match that fitting. An ordinary plumbing jaw of a similar diameter is not a substitute.
Physical fit and approved use
A jaw can attach to a machine without the combination being approved for the fitting system. Check the exact model designation and the current tool-and-jaw approval chart before use. A battery platform or a shared brand name alone does not establish compatibility.
Compact jaw compatibility
The table below combines the supplier’s compact-jaw chart with the model designations in Conex Bänninger’s August 2026 UK/Europe technical brochure. “Approved” refers to the listed tool used with the specified Rothenberger compact MaxiPro jaw, within the fitting system’s requirements.

REMS model note: the MiniPress name covers different tools. Conex lists MiniPress ACC with other manufacturers’ approved jaws, and lists MiniPress A4 separately in its 24kN table. Do not apply the ACC entry above to every MiniPress model.

- Compact MaxiPro jaw set, 1/4–1 1/8 inch, article 1000001989 — a jaw set for a compatible press tool; the press machine is not included.
Before making a connection
Check the tool’s full model number, jaw article and diameter, fitting specification and service status. Follow the current fitting manufacturer’s installation instructions for tube preparation, insertion, pressing and system testing. The compact inch range covered here extends to 1 1/8 inch; Conex specifies a 32kN tool for larger inch fittings. A higher force rating does not, by itself, prove suitability.
Conex also publishes separate 24kN combinations. Use the relevant approved combination rather than treating this compact UK table as a universal compatibility list.
