FAQs
Buckbootz: your questions answered
Are all Buckbootz boots waterproof?
No. Waterproof and water-resistant describe different performance. BBZ safety wellingtons and selected leather ranges are waterproof. Wizardz WIZL1/WIZD2 and Nubuckz NKZ101/NKZ102 have water-resistant uppers. Check the exact model’s specification.
Which Buckbootz should I compare for wet ground?
Start with the BBZ safety wellingtons. Compare the additional protection your work requires: BBZ8000 includes ankle protection, while BBZ9000 includes metatarsal protection. BBZ6000 and BBZ6000 NM are distinct models; the NM version has non-metallic protection.
What is the difference between BBZ6000 and BBZ6000 NM?
The newer BBZ6000 NM uses a nano-composite safety toe and non-metallic midsole for a metal-free build. Earlier BBZ6000 versions use different protective components. Match the full model code, not just the BBZ6000 family name.
What is FITGO?
FITGO is the dial-operated fastening system used on selected models such as WHEELZ and BVIZ7. It offers an alternative to conventional laces. Compare the boot or trainer specification separately; the fastening system alone does not determine the protection.
How do I choose the right size?
Use the UK and EU sizes shown on the product page and consider the socks you will wear for work. Check the model’s fit description and allow comfortable room for your toes. Contact the TCD team if you are comparing styles or are between sizes.
Are non-safety Buckbootz suitable where safety footwear is required?
No. Non-safety wellingtons and leather boots belong in a separate category. If your work requires protective footwear, select a safety model with the certification and features specified for the job.
